Goldbod Denies GHC3 billion Loss Claims

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has denied claims that it has recorded losses in excess of GHC3 billion in its first year of operations.

It described the claims as “entirely false and deliberately contrived to undermine the successes and significant contribution of the GoldBod to the revitalisation of Ghana’s economy” in a statement issued on November 17, 2025.

On the contrary, it said GoldBod had been making significant surpluses/profits since its establishment.

This, it said, will be put out in its quarterly financial statements to be published soon on its official website.

It, therefore, urged the general public to treat the false publication with utmost contempt as it demanded the management of the station retract and render an unqualified apology to the general public for the ‘misleading and unethical’ publication.
