Wendy Shay Reports Lesbianism Allegations to Police
Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay has filed an official police complaint after she was accused in a viral video of engaging in lesbianism with a young girl she is fostering.
In a statement, she denied the allegations as “false” and “malicious”.
“In the last few days, I became aware of a false and very hurtful video circulating online about me. I want to assure everyone, my fans, my family, and the general public that the allegations in that video are completely untrue and were created with malicious intent.”
Following a complaint to the police, she said active investigations have commenced with the suspect behind the account traced to the United Arab Emirates.
He is said to be currently working with a construction company.
“Further steps are being taken through the appropriate channels to ensure he is held accountable for his actions.”
Wendy further expressed her confidence in the investigation process to bring this matter to a swift and just resolution.
Meanwhile, she encouraged Ghanaians to push against cyberbullying, online harassment, and malicious attacks on innocent people.
