2024 WAFCON: Sports Minister Visits Black Queens In Morocco

The Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Iddi Adams, has paid a visit to the Black Queens in Morocco ahead of their game against Bayana Bayana to claim the bronze medal in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament.
Accompanied by the Ministry’s senior technical Advisor, Betty Krosbi Mensah, Black Queens Management members, top officials from the Ministry, and the Ghana Football Association (GFA), he met the team after its final training session on Thursday evening to motivate them.
The Minister commended the team for its determination, discipline, and resilience throughout the tournament, stressing that the entire nation remains proud of their efforts.
“You have shown great character and represented Ghana with dignity. Tomorrow’s match is another opportunity to make the nation proud, and we believe in your ability to finish strong.”
He further assured the team of the government and Ghana’s backing.
The match is scheduled for today, July 25, at the Larbi Zaouli Stadium, Casablanca, at 19:00 GMT.
