Govt to Equip Selected Hospitals With Dialysis Machines

The government of Ghana has moved to equip some health facilities across the country with dialysis machines.

This was confirmed in a statement issued by the Ministry of Health (MoH) inviting proposals from qualified suppliers, vendors, and organisations for the supply and installation of dialysis machines.

The installation, according to a statement by the Ministry, would be done at selected medical facilities across the country.

“The Ministry of Health (MoH) invites proposals from qualified suppliers, vendors, and organisations with the proven capacity to supply and install dialysis machines for selected hospitals across the country.”

Interested and eligible entities are to submit comprehensive proposals that include  Technical Specifications of the dialysis machines being offered; Experience and Track Record in supplying and installing similar medical equipment; After-Sales Service and Maintenance plans; and Delivery Timelines and detailed cost breakdowns.

The closing date for submission of proposals is September 9, 2025.

It also directed prospective applicants to address their proposals to the Chief Director for the Ministry of Health at Sekou Toure Avenue in North Ridge (P.O. Box M 44, Accra, Ghana).

The availability of dialysis machines and treatment for renal disease patients has been one of the key concerns within the country.

The dire situation occasionally infiltrates public discourse, exposing shortfalls in the country’s healthcare as well as the critical and urgent need for redress.
