Asantehemaa Dɔte Yie: Regional Minister Leads MMDCEs To Mourn With Asanteman

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr Frak Amoakohene, has led a delegation to mourn with the Monarch of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, over the passing of Nana Konadu Yiadom III, Asantehemaa.

The delegation included Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives.

Among them were Richard Ofori Agyeman, Kumasi Mayor, Ibrahim Adams, Sekyere East DCE, Amoh Karmel, Askokwa MCE, Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, Asante Akyem Central MCE and Abubakar Issakar, Sekyere Afram Plains DCE.

Also present were Charles Appiah Kubi, Bosome Freho DCE, Maame Sarfoah Appiah, Asante Akyem South MCE and Oheneba Kwabena Andoh, Adansi South DCE.

Individually, they paid homage to the King and extended their sympathies to the King.

The carefully planned burial rites, which started on September 15 with a series of activities, will come to an end on September 18.

Her Majesty will be buried on the last day at Breman Baamu.

Filing past is reserved to take place sequentially among dignitaries and the general public from September 15 to 18, between 5 am and 5 pm, except for the last day, when it will end at 11 am to make way for a burial service at 3 pm.

A key point to note is the institution of the restriction on outdoor movement effective 7 pm on September 18 to make way for the burial of Her Majesty.
