Tweapease-Aboo Robbery and Murder Suspects to Be Arraigned Today

Two suspects in connection with a robbery and murder incident at Tweapease-Aboo in the Ashanti Region will be arraigned in court today.

Identified as Solomon Opoku and Collins Aboagye, they are suspected of having robbed and murdered Kofi Mensah, a 20-year-old man, on October 6, 2025.

According to the police, the victim was robbed of his Haojin motorbike in the process.

One of the suspects was arrested on October 10 while attempting to sell the bike at Obuasi.

“On 10th October 2025, suspect Solomon Opoku was arrested at Council Quarters in Obuasi when he attempted to sell the stolen motorbike. Further investigation led to the arrest of his accomplice, Collins Aboagye, at Kokotesua, also a suburb of Obuasi. Both suspects have admitted to the crime, and the stolen motorbike has been retrieved.”

They are currently in police custody pending their arraignment today, October 13, 2025.
