Anne Sansa Daly’s Appointment to NHIA Board Revoked

President John Dramani Mahama has revoked the appointment of Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the Board of Directors of National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA).

A letter by Callistus Mahama, the Secretary to the President in a letter dated May 23 communicated this to the Minister for Health.

“I write to inform you that the President of the Republic has, with immediate effect, revoked the appointment of Anne Sansa Daly as a member of the Board of National Health Insurance Authority.”

In her place, Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke has been nominated.

“Kindly take the necessary steps to facilitate the swearing-in of Prof. Dr. (Med) Ernest Yorke accordingly.”

It comes after questions were raised about her qualifications as a doctor.

Daly was profiled as a medical doctor graduate from the Johns Hopkins University Medical School in the United States, with a perfect Grade Point Average (GPA) of 4.0.

The 17-member board chaired by Lawrence Nii Okantey Adjetey are Dr. Koku Awoonor-Williams, Dr. Alhassan Iddrisu, Francisca Atuluk, Samuel Kaba Akoriyea, Dr. Abiba Zakariah, Dr. Bernardette Naa Hoffman, Dr. Sadat Bawa, Dr. David Tetteh, Mohammed Adamu Ramadan.

Other members are Dr. Divine Ndonbi Banyubala, Prof. Dr. Ernest Yorke and Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Dr. Ken Kwaku Tweneboah Koduah, Dr. Victor Asare Bampoe, Pious Kwame Nkuah, and Daniella Mavis Abena Mathias.
