GFA Announces ₵1 Million for Each League Club

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled significant investment plans for league clubs to drive growth.
According to President Kurt Okraku, an amount of GH₵1 Million will be disbursed to all clubs before the 2025/2026 season commences.
This, he said, is a commitment to club transformation.
“Each League Club will receive a disbursement of GHS 1 million before the start of the new season. This is not a grant. This is not a number – it is a commitment to club transformation.”
He described the initiative as an investment in performance, in visibility, and in the business of football.
According to him, this will give a new face to the local league.
“It is the difference between delayed salaries and timely payments; between outdated medical rooms and fully equipped health centres; between empty stands and vibrant, media-ready stadiums”
In addition, he announced a new prize money structure; strategic Partnership with Adesa Productions Limited and full backing of the Government; and transformation of clubs into content and commercial brands.
