W/R: Rival Galamsey Gang Clash Leaves One Dead

One person has died after two rival illegal mining gangs clashed at Nsuaem in the Western Region.
A gunfire confrontation between the two groups transpired on September 8, 2025, when a faction confronted the other for destroying their mining equipment at a mining site.
In the exchange of gunfire, one Emmanuel Cudjoe, a 23-year-old, met his untimely death.
His brother, Daniel Cudjoe alias Ato Asare, aged 25 years, was arrested on the same day.

The police in the process also retrieved exhibits from the scene of the clash, including two pump-action guns, three machetes, four motorbikes, one tri-cycle and one regalia.
The police have since initiated an operation to arrest the ten others at large.
