Ghana School of Law Expresses Appreciation to Asantehene

The Management of the Ghana School of Law has expressed immense appreciation to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
This followed the official handing over of a gifted piece land to the school for the construction of a permanent state-of-the-art campus in Kumasi.
Following the event on July 28, 2025, the Management alongside the Acting Chief Justice, Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, visited the Manhyia Palace.
The delegation was received at the Asanteman Council meeting while the Asantehene and paramount chiefs had gathered to deliberate on the welfare of the Kingdom as well as settle some chieftaincy disputes.
As part of the visit, they presented a picture of the plan for the intended facility to the King and sought his blessings.
In his remarks, the Registrar of the Ghana School of Law, Justice Nana Barima Yaw Kodie Oppong, said, “Some time ago, I beseeched Otumfuo about plans to establish a permanent campus in Kumasi and requested for a land. The Asantehene gracefully granted the request. We cut sod for commencement of the project today and we decided to come here right after that to express our gratitude to the King.”
The King has allocated 1.1 acres of land at the Central Business District to the School.
Currently, the Kumasi Campus is resident at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
