2025 WASSCE: GES to Dismiss Staff Who Engage In Malpractices
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that teaching/non-teaching staff, invigilators or supervisors found engaging in examination malpractices during the impending 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) will be dismissed.
It warned against all acts of collusion, leakage of exam materials, aiding candidates, or compromise of examination procedures.
This, it said, is aimed at upholding the integrity of the examination process, it said in a statement on July 25, 2025.
“This firm decision is part of a broader effort to restore and preserve the integrity, credibility, and fairness of the WASSCE.”
The Service therefore urged them to carry out their duties with the highest sense of professionalism and ethics, adding that Regional and District Directors are to ensure this directive is fully communicated and enforced across all examination centres.
In addition, it said students caught engaging in malpractice will also face severe sanctions.
