Male Suspect In Police Custody over Gold Robbery at Offinso Abofour

A suspect has been identified in connection with a gold robbery incident at Offinso Abofour in the Ashanti Region.

Identified as Seidu, he was arrested on May 25 during a targeted Police operation by the Ashanti North Regional Police Command.

“Preliminary investigations indicate that the robbery resulted in the theft of a quantity of gold and an unspecified amount of money,” police said in a statement.

According to the police, Seidu is suspected to be connected to a series of robbery incidents across the country.

He remains in Police custody assisting investigations as efforts advance to apprehend his accomplices and bring them to justice, it added.
