Suspicious Aircraft Claims: Ntim Fordjour Repent- Omane Boamah

The Minister for Defence, Dr Edward Omane Boamah observes that there is a need for former Deputy Minister for Education and MP for Assin South Constituency, Rev Ntim Fordjour to rededicate his life to Christ.
This is on the back of the lawmaker’s allegations that two aircraft transporting cocaine and money entered the country last month.
Dr Omane Boamah in a Facebook post descended on the lawmaker, asserting that he lied.
He sees the need for the Reverend Minister to rediscover and recommit to Christ.
“How can a Reverend minister of God opt for the low road politics of sensationalism and smear campaign? Seek facts before you talk! You know you’ve lied! You also know vivid video evidence has exposed your lies about the said aircraft…Ntim Fordjour repent!”
He also urged him to desist from “reckless” claims founded on untruths.
The Defence Minister recognizes that Rev Ntim Fordjour’s actions are motivated by “hatred for President Mahama’s administration” and an “inordinate quest to be recognized by the hawks in his party at all cost”.
Background
Earlier this week, Rev Ntim Fordjour, put out claims to the effect that two aircraft that landed in Ghana on March 12 and March 20 were used for drug trafficking and money laundering.
President John Dramani Mahama in response to this said he had directed requisite security agencies to engage the lawmaker to probe the allegations.
On April 3, 2025, the Spokesperson of the President, Felix Ofosu Kwakye, dispelled the claims, noting that their landing was legitimate and genuine.
According to him, “no contraband or unlawful commodities” were found on the aircraft after inspections by officials of the Aviation Security, Narcotic Control Commission (NACOC), National Security and the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
Meanwhile, the Rev Minister has defended his allegations, describing the reasons behind the arrival of the aircraft as offered by Felix as “incoherent, questionable and cannot be taken seriously”.
He also denied running away from investigative bodies, saying he has yet to receive any invitation from any of the national security agencies to assist with the investigation.
