No Special Privileges Granted to Pastors, Others to Bypass Security Checks- MoI

The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has disclaimed allegations that pastors and specific groups or individuals have been granted special privileges to circumvent security checks.
In a statement, the Ministry said the “disturbing” misinformation circulating on social media, are “baseless” and “entirely false”.
It therefore urged the public to disregard them.
“It is important to note that the Ministry of Interior has not issued any directives or protocols allowing specific groups or individuals to circumvent security checks.”
It on that note reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country, ensuring equal protection for all citizens without discrimination.
It further cautioned the public against using the Ministry’s name to perpetrate crime or spread false information, which undermines national security.
“The Ministry of the Interior remains steadfast in its duty to safeguard the nation and uphold rigorous security protocols to protect all citizens. We urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.”
