Adansihene Presents Furniture to Manhyia Palace During Awukudae

The Adansihene, Opagyakotwere Bonsra Afriyie II, has donated thirty chairs to the Manhyia Palace to support sittings.

Although the chief could not be present in person, his representatives presented the chairs on his behalf during the 8th Awukudae Festival of the year, held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025.

Speaking on behalf of Adansihene, his spokesperson explained that the gesture was a show of respect and affection toward the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

He noted that the chief had intended to accompany the delegation but was unable to do so due to ill health.

Otumfuo, through his linguist, conveyed his gratitude to Adansihene for the thoughtful contribution.

Also joining the festival were St. Louis College of Education, Komfo Anokye Nursing and Midwifery Training College, the Bright and Pure Holiness Ministry, and business entities including the Asanteman Cold Store Association, Mantrack Company, KASSAB Trading and Restaurant, and Westec Security Ghana Ltd.

The Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), in collaboration with the Mayo Clinic Global Health Programme (MCGHP) and a team of cardiologists from the United Kingdom (UK), also participated, alongside the Asanteman Europe Association.
