N&MC Publishes New Timetable For Licensing Examination

The Nursing and Midwifery Council (N&MC) has published a new timetable for the licensing examination after it was rescheduled to September 4, 2025.

The rescheduled announcement last week by the Ministry of Health followed a consultative meeting involving the Minister for Health, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), and the Conference of Heads of Health Training Institutions (COHHETI).

This was to make way for reforms, including conducting the exam in the respective training institutions to ensure smooth participation and effective supervision by the NMC.

It said the directive took cognisance of the risks associated with extensive travel by students to designated examination centres.

“This measure is necessary to safeguard the safety and well-being of candidates, while ensuring fairness and proper monitoring of the examinations,” the Ministry said in a statement.
