Children Of Helicopter Crash Victims Offered Full Scholarship

The children of the August 6 helicopter crash victims have been offered full scholarships to study at DPS International.

The scholarship is being offered in partnership with B5 Plus Group.

A meeting held at the Office of the Chief of Staff, Hon. Julius Debrah, was used to announce the initiative to the government.

As part of the programme, they explained that two children of each of the helicopter crash victims will be given full scholarships, covering their entire education at DPS International School up to ‘A’ Level, including tuition, uniforms, and, where required, boarding facilities.

They will enjoy a nurturing academic environment designed to build resilience, excellence, and global opportunity.

The two partners in a statement said the initiative seeks to honour the memory of the departed public servants; provide lasting educational support for their children; and demonstrate private sector solidarity with government and bereaved families.

“This scholarship initiative stands as a powerful demonstration of how B5 Pluss and DPS International can complement the government’s social responsibility, uphold the values of compassion, and contribute to nation-building, while showcasing the global excellence of Ghana’s educational institutions.”

Speaking at the ceremony, Mukesh V. Thakwani, CEO of B5 Plus & Delhi Private School International, reaffirmed the company’s belief in giving back to society through education and social responsibility.

He emphasised that this initiative reflects B5 Plus’ deep commitment to Ghana’s development and to supporting families in times of need. Hon. Julius Debrah expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and assured the bereaved families of continued national support.
