Police Arrest Tarkwa Bremang Assemblyman

The Assemblyman for Tarkwa Bremang Electoral Area, Isaac Duku, also known as Agoogi, is currently in police custody.

He was arrested on July 19 on the back of a report filed by the residents of the area.

In a statement, the police said he had been accused of diverting the main community access road without authorisation and conducting illegal mining operations on the diverted stretch.

“The Western Central Regional Police Command has arrested the Assembly Member for the Tarkwa Bremang Electoral Area, Isaac Duku, also known as Agoogi, for engaging in illegal mining and unlawfully diverting a public road onto his private land.”

He is currently in police custody, assisting in investigations.
