Super Clash: Kotoko Supporters Should Look Up to Us for a Win on Sunday to Wipe Off Their Tears – Albert Amoah

Albert Amoah, Asante Kotoko’s centre-forward, is confident his side will triumph over Hearts of Oak in the upcoming Super Clash.

Amoah rifled home a spectacular overhead kick when he marked his return to the Ghana Premier League against Baseke Holy Stars, but his side fell to Hearts of Lions and Aduana Stars in subsequent games.

Albert, after making five appearances in the 2025/26 season, has scored three (3) goals, made two (2) assists and has won the Most Valuable Player award on two (2) occasions.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko embarked on a radio tour ahead of Sunday’s clash, which made Albert Amoah join Kessben Television’s Sports Show on Wednesday morning.

Albert, the former Great Olympics striker, asked the fans to pardon them for the poor outcomes against Hearts of Lions and Aduana Stars in the MTN FA Cup Round of 16.

“I will say it’s a game of football that has three outcomes after each game. No matter the efforts we bring out, we create lots of chances, but converting those chances becomes a problem; however, it still does not end in the way we expected. I will plead with the supporters to have a way to forgive us,” he stated.

Albert Amoah emphasised that the players will definitely defeat the Accra-based side in the Super Clash on Sunday to replace the shame on the faces of the numerous supporters.

He sounded confident, “We are assuring all the supporters that on Sunday, all players at the club have planned that we will win the Super Clash to wipe off the tears of the supporters. We can’t continue to disappoint the supporters. We speak to ourselves as a team, and we feel the pain in the hearts of our supporters.”
