Students Who Assaulted Kade SHTS Teacher Convicted to a Fine of ₵3,800 Each

The Kade Magistrate Court has fined the four students of Kade Senior High Technical School who physically assaulted their teacher ₵3,800 each.

The court presided over by His Worship George Davis Ofori convicted the four when they reappeared in court on January 20, 2026.

According to the court, ₵1,800 of each fine is payable to the court, while ₵2,000 is to be paid as compensation to the victim.

The court further ruled that failure by any of the convicted individuals to pay the total fine will result in a six-month prison sentence.

Attack
The accused are reported to have attacked the teacher identified as Michael Quayson for his strictness during the invigilation of the Christian Religious Studies WASSCE 2025 paper.

The assault took place on October 5, 2025, but went viral in December.

Following their arrest, they were arraigned on January 7, 2026, and remanded into police custody for two weeks.
