Store Enough Water; GWCL to Customers Ahead of Supply Disruptions
The management of the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has advised its customers in the Ashanti Region to brace for water supply disruption and make adequate preparations as it plans to undertake maintenance work on the Barekese Treatment Plant.
“The Management of Ghana Water LTD (GWL), Ashanti Region, wishes to inform its cherished customers and the public that, the region will conduct repairs on the main transmission line at the Barekese Treatment Plant,” it said in a statement on October 22, 2024.
The repair works will begin at 6:00 am on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, and will be completed by 6:00 pm on Thursday, October 24, 2024.
Apologising for the anticipated inconvenience, it advised customers to store up adequate water for the period.
“Customers within the Kumasi metropolis may experience temporary water supply disruptions during this period. Customers are therefore advised to store water for the period. Management regrets the inconvenience this may cause and assures customers that supply will be restored immediately after work is completed.”
