Stillbirth Patient Received Appropriate Care- Ridge Hospital
The Management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital says a patient at the centre of a stillbirth incident was given the requisite medical attention.
Addressing the recent video circulating on social media regarding the unfortunate loss of a baby, it noted that the case is currently under review.
According to the health facility, preliminary findings indicate that the patient received prompt medical attention upon arrival.
It added, “Out of respect for our patient, who is still admitted, and her family, as well as considerations of confidentiality, we are cautious about how much information we disclose publicly.”
“We reassure the public that the patient received appropriate care despite the challenges we faced in obtaining informed consent to provide the necessary treatment, in line with our mission to make quality care accessible to all.”
While extending it’s condolences to the bereaved family, it reaffirmed it’s commitment to providing timely, quality and compassionate care to all patients.
It added, “We kindly urge the public to remain calm and refrain from spreading unverified information.”
