Sports Ministry Condoles With Raphael Dwamena’s Family
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has conveyed their condolences to the family of former Ghana international, Raphael Dwamena on his passing.
The 28-year-old fell to death in the early minutes of a game between his team Egnatia and Partizani in Albiana on Saturday, October 11.
He is said to have suffered a cardiac arrest in the 23rd minute of the match and was pronounced dead on arrival at the Kavaja hospital later.
After more than two months, the Ministry of Youth and Sports have reacted to the news with their condolences.
“The Ministry of Youth and Sports extends its deepest condolences to the family, friends, teammates and fans of Raphael Dwamena. In this moment of profound grief, we share in the pain felt by the entire nation and the global football community.”
It continued, “Raphael Dwamena was not only a gifted footballer but also a source of inspiration to many aspiring athletes. His remarkable talent and dedication to the sport had made him the top scorer in the Superior League of Albania, with an impressive record of nine goals.”
Dwamena was the top scorer in Albania’s Superior League with nine goals in 11 appearances in the ongoing season.
The striker represented Ghana nine times and scored two goals.
