SML Deal: Former Finance Ministry Technical Advisor Declared Wanted

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has declared the former Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Finance, Ernest Darko Akore, wanted.

It comes after he was implicated in the ongoing corruption investigation concerning a revenue contract between the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and a private firm, Strategic Mobolization Limited (SML).

The 67-year-old, believed to hold dual Ghanaian and American citizenship, is suspected to be hiding in either the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa, or Hong Kong.

He joins a growing list of individuals under investigation in connection with the deal, including former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
