Seven Regions To Get Passport Application Centres- Ablakwa

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has announced plans to establish seven new passport application centres.

These centres will be established in regions where they are lacking, with the Upper East Region as the first target.

According to him, the Bolgatanga centre will be opened this month.

“I’m delighted to confirm to you that we have set a target. By December, we are going to make sure every region in Ghana has a passport application centre.”

Meanwhile, he touted the Ministry’s efficiency and achivements in the past 10 months.

“We have become very efficient and Ghanaians are already confirming that now it is such a smooth process. They are receiving their passports in record time and being distributed to them via courier.

“They don’t have to stress to go to passport application centres across the country, sometimes outside their regions.”
