See 4 High Profile Murder and Disappearance Cases Police is Reinvestigating
The Code Case Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is reviewing and reinvestigating four high-profile cases.
Investigations into these cases, which attracted significant public attention at the time of the occurrence, have been intensified.
They have been subjected to reinvestigation with renewed resources, fresh intelligence and forensic support, according to CID Boss Lydia Yaako Donkor.
Paulina Lamisi Akanbodiipo
The first on the list is the disappearance of Paulina Lamisi Akanbodiipo, the Tema West Constituency Women’s Organiser of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC), who was reported missing on June 12, 2024.
The Code case unit has since taken up the case for the reinvestigation, appealing to the public for any information that could assist in locating or establishing the circumstances surrounding her disappearance.
Stella Adwoa Donkor Murder
Next on the list is the murder of one Stella Adwoa Donkor in her room at her residence at Tema Golf City on February 11, 2024.
The Coe Case Unit is conducting a comprehensive review of all available evidence and witness accounts with the view to bringing all to a conclusive legal end by unravelling the circumstances of her death, including the identities of the perpetrators.
Anthony Kudjo Ehiamah
The CID is also re-examining the stalled murder investigation of Anthony Kudjo Ehiamah, a Dizengoff Ghana worker.
He was murdered at Oyarifa on September 18, 2024.
The case is now being reinvestigated by the Code Case Unit with the aim of identifying and prosecuting those responsible.
Pooley
Also on the list is Francis Yaw Frimpong, known as Pooley, a devoted supporter of Asante Kotoko SC who was fatally stabbed during a match between Asante Kotoko and Nsoatreman FC in February 2025.
She said the Sunyani CID is actively pursuing credible leads which could lead to the arrest of anyone involved in the crime.
