See 2024 Election Timetable
The Electoral Commission has released the timetable for activities in the lead-up to the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The schedule was published on its Facebook page on Thursday, March 7, 2024, following an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting.
In a statement after the meeting, the Commission disclosed all the political parties had accepted the schedule.
“The calendar for the 2024 Election released by the Commission was accepted by all members,” the communiqué released by the Acting Head of Public Relations, Michael Boadu said.
The EC has designated 20 days for a Limited Voter Registration Exercise beginning on May 7 and ending on May 27 and plans to provide the list of registration centres to the Political Parties 21 days before the commencement of the Registration exercise.
In its statement, it said, “The exercise will be conducted at the District Offices of the Electoral Commission and in difficult to access Electoral Areas, permanent centres will be set up at the District offices whiles mobile teams would be used to register eligible applicants in the difficult to access Electoral Areas.”
The election has been maintained on December 7 and in case of a run-off in the Presidential election, it will be held on December 28, 2024.
