School Bus Plunges into River at Atwima Boko-Twedea Road
In a tragic incident, a school bus carrying pupils in the lower class has reportedly plunged into a river beneath an uncompleted bridge at Atwima Boko-Twedea Road in the Ashanti Region. Eyewitness accounts describe a harrowing scene at the accident site.
Speaking in an interview with Agudey on Nkwantannanso on June 5, Evangelist Akwasi Nanchi, an eyewitness at the scene, shared his account of the incident.
He revealed that the abandoned bridge, which had remained unfinished for several years, was the location of the unfortunate accident.
According to Nanchi, the school bus overturned on the bridge, causing severe injuries to the children on board.
The injured children were swiftly transported to the nearest hospital for urgent medical attention. The extent of their injuries has yet to be confirmed.
Local authorities and emergency services were at the scene, working to provide assistance.
