Samini Appears on Movie Set

Dancehall artiste Emmanuel Andrews Samini, popularly known as Samini has featured in a new movie titled “The Storm” by Movie Director Ben Owusu.

Samini stepped in new shoes, turning from music industry in the new movie set to be premiered at the Silverbird Cinemas on Saturday, September 21 in Accra and Sunday, September 22, 2024 in Kumasi.

The movie portrays criminals, murder, kidnapping, corruption, and a fight for justice in Ghana’s capital.


The “My Own” crooner played the role of a vicious leader over a network of organized crime groups going by the name Ali Zafara alongside stars like Ama K. Abebrese, Adjetey Anang, Fiifi Coleman, Salma Mumin, Edward Agyakum Kuffuor, and Luckie Lawson.

Adjetey Anang and Ama K. Abebrese portrayed as Detective Danso, and Detective Lynn respectively are the two honest members of the law enforcement team while Milly (Luckie Lawson) played the role of a social advocate for the protection of the youth and fight injustice.

Surprisingly, through this advocacy, Milly became an overnight celebrity after appearing on some media platforms, positioning her to rival the President, Edward Agyekum Kufuor.
