Samartex Appoint Christopher Ennin As Head Coach
Football Club Samartex have appointed Christopher Ennin as head coach.
The forty-two-year-old will now be in charge of the team for the rest of the season after Nurudeen Amadu left the post.
The Timber Giants announced the appointment of Chris on Friday, December 27, 2024.
“Chris is home, Welcome to the Timber Giants.”
Chris takes over the club placed 10th on the league log after 14 games and surviving on 17 points.
The former goalkeeper with a CAF A License has previously managed Thai side Sakaeo FC, Denver Sundowns FC and Swazi side Mbabane Swallows FC where he was tasked with helping the club achieve qualification for the CAF Champions League.
In 2022, he was appointed manager of Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea FC. He recently worked with Swazi side Moneni Pirates FC.
Nurudeen joined Samartex in July 2023 and led them to 2023/2024 Premier league glory. However, the subsequent season did not go in his favour as he fell out with fans over unsatisfying performance and outcome.
He left the club on mutual grounds in mid-December after supervising 13 matches in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, recording three consecutive defeats in the top-flight.
His leadership also saw the exit of Samartex from the MTN FA Cup after a 2-0 defeat to rivals Bibiani GoldStars SC.
