S/R: Bole Curfew Reviewed

The Minister for Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has reviewed the curfew hours on Bole in the Savannah Region to run from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m daily.

This takes effect on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

The review followed the advice of the Regional Security Council, it said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the government affirmed the total ban on firearms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons; pillion riding during the day; and war regalia outfits.

It warned, “Any person found with any firearms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted.”

“Government continues to urge Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth, and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their energies into ensuring peace in the area.”
