Ronaldo’s Al Nassr Thrash Messi’s Inter Miami
Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr defeated Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami in a friendly game in Saudi Arabia on Thursday night.
The game famed by the football stars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi ended in embarrassment for the visitors as they endured heavy defeat.
While Ronaldo was sidelined due to injury, Messi joined the match in the 83rd minute and despite featuring for 70 minutes, Luis Suarez’s impact was not felt in the game.
Ronaldo’s Al Nassr won by 6-0 with Brazilian attacking midfielder Anderson Talisca finding the net thrice in both halves.
Luís Castro’s side netted their first goal in three minutes through a thunderbolt by Otavio Edmilson da Silva Monteiro who moved to Saudi Arabia in a €60million deal.
Seven minutes later, the first of Talisco’s hatrick went home after he had his first blocked by an Inter Miami Defender. Talisco’s timely capatilisation of a cross from Abdulaziz Al-Aliwa caught Drake Callender out of line.
Inter Miami were down by three goals at recess after Aymeric Larpote’s spectacular strike from behind the centre circle overtook Callender to go straight into the net with the goalkeeper hopelessly attempting a save to no avail.
The woes of Inter Miami were not over after recess as Talisco bagged his second goal of the night in the 51st minute after converting from the spot.
Aymeric Laporte played a role in Al Nassr’s fifth goal, assisting Mohammed Maran with a header that found the back of the net.
Talisco drummed home his last goal, the third, of the night when he outpaced Inter Miami’s defence after pouncing on a cross in the 73rd minute.
Messi came on in the 83rd minute, replacing Leonardo Campana, but by then, the damage had already been done.
