Residents of Jalalabad And Talibans Clash Over Flag



Deaths and injuries have been recorded today in Jalalabad, a city in Afghanistan following a protest against hoisted Taliban flag in place of the National flag in the city square.

The Talibans have taken over the country and hoisted their flag at various cities including Kabul, the country’s capital.

Residents of the Jalalabad took to the streets and social media to register their displeasure.

The clash which was a day to the commemoration of Afghanistan’s independence led to the death of “at least 2 and 12 others injured”, Aljazeera has reported.

It is alleged that the Talibans launched the attack which brought the protest to a halt.

Reports say the city has hoisted the national flag.
