Report Immediately Any Skin Rash; GHS Issues Command To Public
The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has issued a command to the public concerning the outbreak of Monkeypox in parts of the world.
“Remember to report immediately to the nearest health facility if you experience any skin rash or any of the symptoms listed”, the GHS said after releasing a factsheet on the disease.
Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by the monkeypox virus.
Symptoms of monkeypox include fever (increased body temperature), headache, body ache, weakness swelling of lymph nodes.
It must be noted that the fever is followed by the development of skin rash, (within 1 to 3days) on the entire body but is more concentrated on the face and limbs.
