Remain at Home Until CETAG Grievances are Resolved- Teacher Trainees Directed

Members of the Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) have been instructed to stay home until their teachers’ industrial strike is resolved.
In a statement referencing a recent notice issued by the National Conference of Principals of Colleges of Education (PRINCOF), the leadership of the Association said it was working closely with PRINCOF on the approved duration of the macro-teaching for final year students.
It is confident that the ongoing strike will not affect their practice.
“Should the strike persist beyond February 9, 2026, a final determination will be made after that date in consultation with the relevant Authorities. Until then, Level 400 Teacher Trainees are encouraged to continue their practice and be guided by official TTAG communication.”
It further assured all trainees that it was actively engaged with the relevant Authorities and Stakeholders and is firmly committed to pursuing a permanent and sustainable resolution to the issues underlying the strike.
“All Teacher Trainees are therefore urged to remain steadfast during this period while awaiting further official communication from the Association. TAG remains your voice, your advocate, and your shield until this matter is fully resolved.”
CETAG embarked on an industrial action on November 24, 2025.
