Regional Distribution of Ballot Papers Begins
The Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana will today begin the distribution of Presidential and Parliamentary ballot papers across the country.
It comes 23 days to the Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
In a letter dated November 13, and signed by the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, Samuel Tettey to the General Secretaries of all political parties, the information was relayed.
“I bring you warm greetings from the Electoral Commission and trust that this letter finds you well. This comes to inform you that, the transportation of Ballot Papers to the various regions will start tomorrow, Thursday, 14th November, 2024.”
It comes days after the EC announced it had directed the continuation of the printing of the ballot papers after the death of Presidential Aspirant, Madam Akua Donkor prompted the suspension of the printing.
The late founder of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) will be retained on the ballot paper with all votes cast in her name being ruled out, the EC announced earlier this week as it disqualified the replacement of the party.
Ghana will go to the polls to elect a President and Members of Parliament on December 7.
