Rapper Kimo Gee Reveals DJ Switch’s Influence in Auditioning for Talented Kids

Talented rapper, Kimo Gee, recently shared the source of her inspiration to audition for Talented Kids – none other than the renowned DJ Switch, a previous winner of the Talent Kids show on TV3.

“I was motivated by DJ Switch’s videos on youtube to go for talented kids,” she said in an interview on Kumasefie with Mr Black on July 22.

However, despite her passion and talent, Kimo Gee faced an unexpected setback as she was evicted on the very first eviction night due to insufficient votes.

“It was tough for me. I got evicted during the first eviction because people didn’t vote for me,” she expressed with a hint of disappointment.

Reflecting on her journey, Kimo Gee recalled her performance during the launch of Talented Kids Season 14, where she was paired with another rapper. Despite facing challenges during rehearsals with her partner, the stage performance turned out to be flawless, much to her relief.

“At the launch of Talented Kids, they paired me with another rapper, and i didn’t like it because during rehearsals he kept making mistakes and blaming me. But thank God, everything was perfect that day.”

Despite the eviction, Kimo Gee expressed her gratitude for the experience, as it provided valuable lessons. Notably, she highlighted the guidance she received from veteran rapper Okyeame Kwame, who advised him on improving her diction and breath control.

Explaining her choice to pursue rap over singing, Kimo Gee initially learned dance as a way to captivate an audience. However, upon realizing her true potential, he decided to focus on rap.

Furthermore, Kimo Gee revealed her admiration for the talented rapper Amerado Burna.

With her passion for nurturing talent, Kimo Gee is embarking on a new project called ‘Talent Audition’, scheduled for 5th August, where she aims to provide a platform for individuals with unique gifts to showcase their abilities.
