‘Putting Pressure on the Players will Affect them in the Super-Clash’ – Agyemang Badu to Kotoko Supporters

Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has called for calm on the part of Asante Kotoko supporters especially in a crucial ‘Super-Clash’ week like this even though they are agitated.
The Porcupine Warriors are currently in shambles following the team’s recent appalling display and are currently heading towards a trophyless campaign as they have now exited the FA Cup and also eight points adrift the top-spot in the Premier League after 21 matches.
Currently as International Relations Manager of Aduana FC, the ex- Udinese Calcio star, who was present at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday, February 8, said this after the game to your trusted station Opemsuo Radio.
“They are still in the league fighting, just that they have been eliminated from the FA Cup so the supporters should be calm. It’s ok to be angry but they have to understand they have Hearts of Oak to play next week and if they put so much pressure on the players, it can affect them because their opponents are comfortably waiting for them.”
Badu, who has now retired from professional football, played for Asante Kotoko in 2008/09 season and was an integral member of the Black Satellites World Cup winning squad in 2009 and also enjoyed a nine-year stay with the senior national team, Black Stars.
Asante Kotoko will look to redeem themselves when they cross swords with their eternal rivals Hearts of Oak in the second Super-Clash of the 2025/26 season this Sunday, February 15, 2026.
