Purported Viral Document of Oquaye Report Fake- NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has disclaimed a document circulating on social media as portions of the
investigative report on the cause of the party’s defeat in the last general election.

According to the National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, the said document is fake.

He stated that it is a fabricated document by the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“The fake portions of Prof. Mike Oquaye’s committee report submitted yesterday being circulated by elements in the NDC are complete fabrications not contained in the report.”

He alleged that the NDC resigned to fabrication after failing to obtain the original document by all means.

“The NDC have resorted to this old propaganda strategy after their strenuous attempts to obtain what is contained in the report have proven futile.”

Nana B further affirmed that the report is in safe custody.

“Expect more of such conjectures in the days. The report is in safe custody, and the NDC will not get it.”

On Wednesday, the National Executive Council of the NPP received the report of the investigative committee.

Afterwards, the party announced plans to amend its constitution.
