Prof Atta Mills Scholarship Birthed for Outstanding Law students

An educational scholarship named after Ghana’s third President in the fourth Republic has been established to offer support for Outstanding Law students.
The Prof John Evans Atta Mills Scholarship was birthed through an MoU between the GETFund and Temple University.
This historic partnership is envisioned to advance Ghana-US academic collaboration, build institutional capacity and foster international opportunities.
The GETFund Administrator, Mr Paul Adjei, during the signing stressed the importance of such a collaboration as a major part of His Excellency, President John Mahama’s definitive vision for strengthening the education sector for Ghanaian youth.
For her part, Dr Emilia Zankina, Vicente Provost for Global Engagement and Dean of Temple Rome, who signed on behalf of Temple University, remarked that the collaboration not only welcomes students from Ghana but also extends partnerships to Ghanaian institutions.
She disclosed that Temple University will be hosting President Mahama next week for another historic visit, where the US-Ghana cross-institutional partnership will be further deepened.
Dr Zankina was accompanied by John Smagula, Assistant Dean of Graduate and International Programmes.
