PRIORITIZE PRACTICALITY OVER THEORY-OTUMFUO ASANTEHENE

Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has encouraged experimental learning for Ghanaian students to improve industry development.

Otumfuo stressed that, it was about time theoretical processes, are limited for empirical processes to be adopted.

In the basic institutions, ample time must be given to students to test hypothesis on the field in a way that will enhance knowledge acquisition over a long period of time.

Otumfuo made the observation when the Chief Executive Officer of Tullow Oil Plc Mr. Rahul Dhir paid an official visit to Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

The call was to update His Majesty on the operations of the company and Mr. Dhir informed that Tullow Oil has revived in business after a couple of month of setback due to the pandemic.

The King took the opportunity and urged the company to be technology driven.

He asked that Oil and Gas Petroleum students in the nation be given an internship offer at the company to advance experimentation adding that practicaliztion is key to growth.

A collaboration between Tullow and institutions was proposed for an effective training in the sector of Oil and Gas in Ghana.

Asanteman looks forward for more collaboration between Tullow Oil Plc in the social-economic development of our people, His Majesty concluded.

Tullow Oil Chief Executive Officer was accompanied by the Managing Director of Tullow Oil Ghana Limited, Mr. Wissam Al-Monthiry to Manhyia Palace.
