Princess Anne: I Shared Last Hours Of Queen Elizabeth II
Princess Anne, Princess Royal and daughter of Queen Elizabeth II has described as fortunate the opportunity she had beside her mother before she passed on on September 8, 2022.
In a statement published by the British Royal Family, Princess Anne disclosed she was beside the monarch for 24 hours before she died.
According to her, her joy is in witnessing the love and respect shown by so many to her mother as Queen Elizabeth makes her final journeys.
“It has been an honour and a privilege to accompany her on her final journeys. Witnessing the love and respect shown by so many on these journeys has been both humbling and uplifting”, she said.
She also expressed her gratitude to all who share in the Royal Family’s loss and support her brother the King.
“I offer my thanks to each and every one who share our sense of loss…I am also so grateful for the support and understanding offered to my dear brother Charles as he accepts the added responsibilities of The Monarch.”
