Prince Yaw Owusu Admits Kotoko Players Feel Pressure at Baba Yara Stadium

Prince Yaw Owusu oversaw his third league game at Asante Kotoko and his second game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium against Vision FC.

Prince Yaw Owusu took over when Karim Zito departed ways with the Porcupine Warriors, and he has one win, a loss in the super-clash, and a draw with Vision in Week 24.
Asante Kotoko under Prince Yaw Owusu has played their second league game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, which the visiting team was shown a red card, but tactically the Porcupine Warriors had no antidote to the defence set up.
Kotoko had 60 per cent possession and created the most decent chances, with nine shots on goal and eight off target, while Vision managed seven on target and three off target despite their numerical disadvantage.

The host side appeared upset not to convert their dominance, missing points again in their pursuit of the top spot, while Medeama SC and Hearts of Oak both dropped points in their respective games. Asante Kotoko remains fourth, seven points behind the league leaders.
The interim head coach, Prince Yaw Owusu, responded to Eugene Quame Anane’s query about whether the Asante Kotoko players appear to be under pressure when they play at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Coach Yaw Owusu explained, “Yeah, you said that. Personally, I don’t know much about it, but I think the voice, they feel it a lot, when we play here (Baba Yara Sports Stadium), they feel it, and I could see the way they performed.”

“When we go out there, they are free, and then they try to play. At Wenchi, it was so amazing how they got two goals early, and today we had early chances too, and they couldn’t utilise them.”
