Prez Akufo-Addo Attends Democrat Union of Africa Forum
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has left the country for Johannesburg, South Africa, for the Democrat Union of Africa (DUA) Forum.
He left on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, following an invitation.
He is expected to deliver a keynote address at the forum.
The 2023 edition of the DUA Forum began on Wednesday and is expected to end on April 30.
The forum which has a list of guest speakers will explore various subjects ranging from economic growth, political development, strong political party-building strategies to campaign management strategies.
It is being held under the theme “Discovering New Dimensions of Cooperation: A Collective Responsibility Towards Sustainable Development”.
President Akufo-Addo was accompanied by the Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum, Member of Parliament for Mampong; and officials from the Presidency and Foreign Ministry.
He is expected back in Ghana on Sunday, April 30.
The Vice President, Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, in that regard, takes over the administration of the country in accordance with Article 60 (8) of the Constitution.
