President Mahama Visits Stalled Kejetia Market Phase II

President John Dramani Mahama has visited the second phase of the Kejetia Market Redevelopment project, which the previous government started.

The project has stalled since 2023 after the country went bankrupt under former president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

The market is among the key projects the Mahama administration has committed to completing in its second coming.

He last gave the assurance of this to the King of the Asante Kingdom, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, when His Majesty paid a courtesy visit to him at the Jubilee House last month.

As part of his ‘Thank You’ tour in the Ashanti Region on July 16, 2025, the President visited the market to assess its current condition.
