President Akufo-Addo Tours Western Region
The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo is beginning a four-day tour to the Western and Western-North Regions today, Friday 3, 2021.
The visit will begin in the Western region where the president will spend 2 days to commission completed projects and cut sod for new ones.
He is expected to pay a courtesy call on the chief of Shama and chiefs of Nzema in Esiama, commission Narubizi Rubber Factory and Phase 3 of the Keda Ceramic Factory in the Wassa East and Shama constituencies respectively as well as inspect the progress of work on the Landing Beach in Dixcove today, the presidency has relayed.
On Saturday, the President will hold a radio interview on Skyy FM, call on Wassa Akropong and Asankragua Amenfi Chiefs, commission Municipal Education Office, cut sod for construction of Agona Nkwanta-Tarkwa road and inspect works on Bogoso Polyclinic and TVET School project.
He is expected to react to the border issues after residents of Aflao and Elubo hit the streets on 27th August, 2021, and 2nd September 2021 respectively to demand the re-opening of the country’s land borders.
The President will then proceed to the Western-North region where he will engage in courtesy calls, commissioning, sod-cutting, inspections and hold a radio interview.
This forms part of the President’s tour to all 16 regions in Ghana.
