Pooley Murder: Kotoko to Engage Media on Friday

Asante Kotoko SC have invited the media for a briefing over the tragic incident that characterized their Matchday at Nsoatre against Nsoatreman FC earlier this month.

The meeting will take place in the Conference Room of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on February 14, 2025.

“Asante Kotoko SC invites interested members of the media to an important engagement on Friday, 14th February 2025, at the Conference Room of the Baba Yara Stadium at 9:00 AM.”

The club is hoping to address recent developments concerning the tragic events at the Nana Koramansah Park, the club’s stance on footballing activities, and the way forward for Ghanaian football.

The media will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the club’s leadership during the session.

Ardent Asante Kotoko fan, Frimpong Yaw Francis, popularly known as Nana Pooley, was stabbed to death following the 1-0 defeat to Nsoatreman FC.

This followed a melee that marred the game at Nana Koramansah Park at Nsoatre in the Bono Region on February 2, 2025.
