Police To Arraign Suspect In Adum Homicide
The Ghana Police Service is making arrangements to put before court suspect Ahmed Twumasi who allegedly shot his ex-girlfriend multiple times at Adum.
The suspect, a police Inspector, was arrested on Sunday evening after going into hiding for days following the tragic incident.
Per a police report, he was arrested at Sekyere near Effiduase in the Ashanti Region through a special Police operation which was launched following the shooting incident.
The suspect is reported to have shot the victim identified as his ex-girlfriend over failed attempts to get back with her.
She was shot six times by the suspect on the night of April 20 and died on the spot, an eyewitness told opemsuo.com.
In a statement on April 23, the Ghana Police Service said, “The suspect is currently in Police custody and will be put before court to face justice.’
