Police React To “2 Tigers At Wonda World Estates”

The Accra Regional Police Command has issued a statement in reaction reports that two tigers are being kept at the Wonda World Estates, an estate belonging to businessman, Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Freedom Jacob Caesar, in Accra.

The police say preliminary investigations have established that a resident in a gated community at Osu, is keeping the two tigers under lock in a cage in his house.

“Police have reached out to the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission and efforts are underway to relocate the animals to an appropriate facility”, the police noted.

Meanwhile, a special police team has been deployed to provide adequate security in the affected neighbourhood to ensure the safety of residents until the animals are relocated, the statement added.

“While investigations continue, we would like to entreat all residents within the community to remain calm as we work with our stakeholders to ensure their safety”, it concluded.
