Police Grab One Suspect in Murder of 23-year-old

A taxi driver is in the grip of the Ashanti Regional Police Command for allegedly killing a lady at the Tanoso Electoral area in the Kwadaso Municipality on Easter Monday.
The suspect identified as Robert Kwabena Boamah was arrested at his hideout in Namong, near Offinso on April 23.
A statement by the police explained that the crime took place on April 21 near the Mighty Jesus Educational Complex at Dominase.
“A team of Police officers responded to the scene, where the deceased was identified by family members as Dorothy Owusu Annor, also known as Maa Abena, aged 23. The body was carefully examined and found with multiple stab wounds.”
“Preliminary investigations also uncovered an abandoned Opel Astra taxi cab with registration number AS857S-Y with its ignition key still at the scene. Further investigation established that the abandoned vehicle belonged to the suspect…”
Robert was tracked down and arrested.
The statement said he confessed to the crime during interrogation.
“Efforts are currently underway to arraign the suspect before court to face justice.”
Meanwhile, the police emphasized its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all residents and will continue to pursue justice for victims of violent crime.
